City trip Prague
Prague - Summer city trip!
Prague is fantastic. Prague is extraordinary. Prague is beautiful. Prague is in a league of its own. There’s not really much more to say, because Prague moves everyone differently. Prague was chosen as Europe’s Capital of Culture for the Millennium and the historic city centre has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your best idea is to snap up a guide and have at least a one-day guided tour of this fantastic city. Just the Old Town Square knocks you off your feet. A backdrop that is only found in fairy tales, if at all.
The really amazing thing about Prague is that everything here is old. Not just the old town. But, for example, the Kloster monastery, which is more than 900 years old, on whose historic grounds you can find the beautiful Lindner Hotel Prague Castle. So with us, one Prague must-see is already at your feet. Or two. Because Prague Castle is also within walking distance.
So once the main sights have been visited, such as the old town, Charles Bridge, Prague Castle and Wenceslas Square (and this is far from an exhaustive list of all the sights), which are an absolute must when in Prague, there are still endless opportunities to see and do whatever you want in this amazing city. Whatever you want.
Prague has endless nooks and crannies that are well worth exploring, and most of them are unbelievably beautiful. It’s worthwhile just sitting in a café with a chilled Pilsner Urquell and taking the time to admire the amazing facades.
Our tip for the summer: The Vrtba Garden. An unbelievable Baroque terraced garden, the entrance to which is not at all easy to find. Because it is not in the least spectacular, so when you enter the garden itself you are taken totally by surprise. Only a few steps away from the Kleinseitner Ring and the Charles Bridge, it is a real little oasis. We’ve got the GPS data for you (a bit of excitement is good): 50.086591, 14.402675.
Another summer highlight is the Bleší trh! A massive flea market and an absolute mecca for flea market fans (metro station Kolbenova). And it’s absolutely huuuge! Every Saturday and Sunday, you can rummage around for all kinds of treasures between 7:00h and 14:00h. There’s sausages and pivo (Czech beer), too. For fans, this has to be a real Prague experience.
And after a long and exciting day, you will simply love the ambiance and special flair of the Lindner Hotel Prague Castle. The beautiful panoramic position makes it the ideal hub for the whole of Prague.
