Almond blossom in Mallorca - Lindner Golf Resort
Raixa Manor
Just a 30-minute drive from the Lindner Golf Resort Portals Nous is the charming "Raixa" manor house, nestled among thousands of almond trees. The estate with its extensive gardens is open to the public and offers an insight into the life of the grand lords since the 13th century. From a neoclassical temple high above the grounds, you look down into a huge bed of pink and white blossoms, far across the plain to the sea. Incredibly beautiful!
Park the car in Bunyola and follow the hiking signs to Raixa, and you'll be even closer to the blossoms. The easy, flat path leads through the dreamlike fields of almond trees.
Puerto de Andratx
Another option to get close to the almond blossoms starts in Puerto de Andratx. You park directly at the entrance to the town, then leave the harbour again towards Andratx shortly after the bridge and return via the Coll den Boix on the opposite side of the road. There are lots of almond trees here, which look spectacular with their blossom against the backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains. Back in Puerto de Andratx, we have a sundowner on the promenade.
Calvia/ Es Capdella
You can ride the route comfortably by (e-)bike. From the hotel, take the cycle path to Santa Ponsa, then the old road with little traffic to Calvia and on to Es Capdella. In the distance you can see the Puig de Galatzo, the highest peak in the southwest of Mallorca. The hilly hinterland around Calvia and Es Capdella is fragrant with almond blossoms in February. The tour is a delight for the senses. Return via Paguera, with a detour to the beach.
E-bikes, comfortable city bikes and racing bikes can be ordered at the reception.
