Almond blossom in Mallorca | Lindner Golf Resort
Just a 30-minute drive from Lindner Golf Resort Portals Nous is the charming "Raixa" manor house, nestled among thousands of almond trees. The estate with its extensive gardens is open to the public and offers a glimpse into the life of the grand lords since the 13th century. From a neoclassical temple high above the grounds, you look out into a vast bed of pink and white blossoms, far across the plain to the sea. Incredibly beautiful!
Park the car in Bunyola and follow the hiking signs to Raixa, and you'll be even closer to the blossoms. The easy, flat path leads through the dreamlike almond tree fields.
Another option to get very close to the almond blossoms starts in Puerto de Andratx. You park right at the entrance to the town, then leave the port again towards Andratx just after the bridge and come back via the Coll den Boix on the opposite side of the road. There are lots of almond trees here, which look spectacular with their blossoms against the backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains. Back in Puerto de Andratx there's the sundowner on the promenade.
You can ride the route comfortably by (e-)bike. From the hotel you go on the bike path to Santa Ponsa, there the old road with little traffic to Calvia and further to Es Capdella. In the distance you can see the Puig de Galatzo, the highest peak in the southwest of Mallorca. The hilly hinterland around Calvia and Es Capdella is fragrant with almond blossoms in February. The tour is a pleasure for the senses. Return via Paguera, with a detour to the beach.
E-bikes, comfortable city bikes and racing bikes can be easily ordered at the reception.
