When should I reserve an appointment for a treatment?
Our treatments are extremely popular. Please enable us to take your wishes into consideration by reserving your appointments for treatment well in advance.

Who can help me choose a suitable treatment or therapy?
The advice and information centre can assist you in the selection of your treatments and in planning your other activities. Please let us know when you make your reservation whether you would prefer a male or a female therapist and we will try to accommodate your wish

How can I best use the time before a treatment?
Visit the hotel's sauna or steam bath to prepare your body for the coming treatment. Treat yourself before your treatment to a warm shower, or go to our thermal spa. Just before your appointment you can relax in our waiting areas, where you therapist will collect you.

And after the treatment?
After the treatment you can rest in our quiet room on the first floor. Just enjoy the feeling of relaxation and forget your worries for a while.

What should I wear during a treatment?
We recommend undressing completely for body treatments, as our priority is your wellbeing. But of course throwaway slips are available on request.

And in the sauna?

The sauna is a no-clothes zone. In your hotel room you will find a wicker basket containing a bathrobe, slipper and a towel. You should use this towel to lie in the hotel sauna. In the Roman-Irish bath special cushions are provided for your use.

And in the fitness centre?

For reasons of hygiene we ask you to wear a t-shirt and tracksuit trousers or long Bermuda shorts in the fitness room. And please use a towel on all items of equipment.

What if I don't feel comfortable during a treatment?
I you find particular massage techniques or treatments unpleasant, please tell your therapist. And be sure to inform him or her of any specific problem zones you may have, e.g. injuries, sensitivity to pain, tension and relevant health circumstances. You should certainly inform your therapist if you have a cold, flu or skin, rash. This kind of information is important because alternative methods of treatment can intensify symptoms in the short term.

And if I have specific health problems?

Do you suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, heart problems or allergies? Have your recently had an operation or are you pregnant? If so, please inform our advice centre staff. Please also tell them about any medication you take or if you are breastfeeding. It is generally a good idea to consult your or our doctors beforehand.

Should men shave before a facial treatment?
It isn't necessary to shave, but we recommend it. If you wish to shave before your facial treatment you should do so at least two hours before your appointment.

What happens if I'm late?

Arriving late shortens your treatment and reduces its effectiveness - and your enjoyment. Your treatment will end at the arranged time so that the next person doesn't have to wait. The full price will be charged.

How can I cancel an appointment?
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours beforehand. Missed appointments will be charged 100% if we do not hear from you.

How can I pay for my treatments?

We accept all the usual credit cards and cash in Swiss currency. As a hotel guest you can charge treatments or products to your room.

Where can I keep my jewellery and other valuables?
The best place for your jewellery and valuables is the safe in your hotel room. A safe is also available for your use at the spa reception. There are lockers for your personal property in the changing rooms. The Alpentherme takes no responsibility for lost or stolen property.

Is there a minimum age?
In the swimming pool and sauna, children from 6 to 12 must be accompanied by an adult. We recommend a minimum age of 12 for treatments. For security reasons, children under 16 are not permitted in the fitness centre.

Recommendations:
The Alpentherme is a place of tranquillity. Relax and enjoy it! Out of consideration for other guests please not use mobile phones. In order to ensure a healthy environment for all guests, smoking is not permitted.
