Alpine Wellness at the Lindner Alpentherme

Alpine wellness is not only defined by the positive effect of the altitude and mountain climate, good food and the rediscovery of traditional methods of healing. Alpine wellness also means a return to our own roots and to our knowledge of the natural world that surrounds us, of earthy culture and real quality of life. The effect of the natural world and the charm of the mountains and their inhabitants play a vital part in disclosing the sensuous vitality of life in the region, and making your stay there a truly unforgettable experience.

So do yourself some good! Whether you need relaxation, sporting fitness or medically supervised health care, at the Lindner Alpentherme you can expect to find the programme that caters to your needs.

Alpine treats

Experience the joy of life, feel the power of the mountain landscape and find your own personal refuge in the natural world. An Alpine getaway fulfils the desire for rest and relaxation. Thermal baths with views of the Alps, aromatic hay-blossom wraps or an aroma bath are just a few examples of the variety of treatments on offer at the Lindner Alpentherme.

Alpine Fitness

Mens sana in corpore sanum! A healthy mind in a healthy body as the Romans used to say. Let the incomparably, expansive scenery of the Alps inspire you with the spiritual energy that radiates from the eternal peace and quiet they embody. Here you can regain the stamina you need to master the challenges of daily life.

„Altitude x Exercise = Health“.

Training in medium altitudes (1,200 to 1,500 m above sea-level) has been an athletic recode for success for many years. A stay in middle altitudes combined with physical activity has a particularly beneficial effect on our health because of the range of physiological, metabolic hormonal and psychological reactions it triggers.

It has been medically proven that after just 3 days at such altitudes, blood pressure is significantly lowered. This level is maintained upon returning to lower altitudes, providing sustained relief of the cardio-vascular system.

Impressive changes also occur in the sugar and fat metabolism, particularly in the case of overweight people who do not exercise much. Harmful oxygen radicals, which encourage tissue ageing and negatively influence recuperation after physical exertion, are also reduced. Psychological benefits range from a lightened mood. Increased stability and stress resistance. Walking at medium altitudes is perfectly safe, also for heart patients.

Prevention, alleviation, healing - the natural world of the majestic Alps has recipes for many of our modern-day illnesses. For this reason the Lindner Alpentherme focuses particularly on spinal problems, burn-out syndrome, asthma and allergies. It takes prevention seriously and successfully combines the power of nature with modern healing techniques (see medical wellness).

Our health specialists tailor their medically supervised regimes specifically to your needs and align the range of treatments on offer with the latest medical and therapeutic advances.
